Coriander, also known as cilantro or Chinese parsley, is particularly aromatic and a popular herb in Asian cooking where its citrus-flavoured leaves and roots add a pungent taste to many dishes. Coriander has a round branching stem topped with small, bright green, finely scalloped leaves. All parts of the plant are edible, but the fresh leaves and the dried seeds are traditionally used in cooking.

  • Fresh, quality herbs, will appear as though they have just been picked with plump looking leaves. Look for produce that has healthy stems with no signs of yellowing or wilting.

  • Herbs should be kept covered in a cool area away from refrigeration fans.
