  • 1 tbsp butter

  • 1 cup finely diced Piqa Boo Pears

  • 1 tbsp brown sugar

  • ½ teaspoon cinnamon

  • ½ tsp nutmeg

  • ¼ tsp ground allspice

  • ¼ tsp salt

  • 1/3 cup chopped walnuts

  • 1 pack mini filo sheets

  • For Topping:

  • 1 tbsp olive oil

  • ¼ cup rolled oats

  • 1tbsp brown sugar

  • 1tsp all-purpose flour


  1. In a skillet over medium heat, melt butter; add pears, brown sugar, cinnamon, nutmeg, allspice, and salt. Coat pears well and simmer about 2–3 minutes. Add walnuts and continue to simmer for 2 more minutes. Remove from heat.

  2. Place shells on baking sheet. Scoop a little of the mixture into each pastry shell. Be sure to press mixture down and fill to top. Mix topping ingredients together and sprinkle a little on each mini pie. Place on top rack of oven and broil for 3 minutes or until slightly golden brown. Be careful to not let crust burn.
